CAST GUIDELINES
SEQ CHAPTER \h \r 1Notes from
KQ
1.
Please refresh your reading of the cast guidelines. Some things are
beginning to slip. Especially timeliness in coming to
rehearsal. Overall, think we are doing well.
2.
Due to the above, I am having to be a little more
strict with our policy of taking people out of numbers when they miss
rehearsals. Please, please check with me if you have to miss. If
you do not call/check in with KQ before you miss a rehearsal, you may be pulled
from that number. We just don‘t have the time to re-teach numbers.
3.
Again, rehearsals are open to QUIET visitors.

GUIDELINES
Rehearsal

Clean up after yourselves in all
areas. This includes the rehearsal spaces, the restrooms, the dressing
rooms, and any other places that you may have been. With a cast this
size, we cannot keep items you leave and forget. They will be
donated to a worthy cause after a week of being unclaimed.
Don’t ever give another actor a note
about their acting, singing, and/or dancing. This is the job of the
Director, Choreographer, and during the run of the show, the Stage
Manager. If another actor has changed something or is doing something
that you think is inappropriate, please inform the Director, Choreographer, or Stage
Manager.
Please arrive and check in at least
10 minutes prior to the start of your scheduled rehearsal so we can start on
time. Please always bring a pencil and necessary music with you to
rehearsal.
Due to performance dates, we have 1
LESS WEEK TO REHEARSE so PLEASE do not miss or arrive late!!!!!
If you have any problems or
emergencies which might prevent you from attending all of a rehearsal, please
call and leave a message on the rehearsal hotline for the stage manager.

Rehearsals will occur except in the
case of extreme circumstances. The hotline is updated daily, so check
often for updates.
Please be quiet in
rehearsal. The Director/Choreographer, etc, are trying to teach the
scene and with a cast this size, any talking or whispering
will distract those around you and cause lost time as we need to explain the
scene again.
Pay attention and always bring your
music and needed materials. Always be aware of what’s going on around
you. Be proactive. Look for opportunities to help.
No food, or drink (except water),
or cell phones allowed in rehearsals or backstage. If you need to
eat, there will time and a place provided. If you are expecting an
emergency call, give your phone to the Stage Manager and she will notify you if
need be.
No open toe shoes or clogs.
Please dress appropriately for the rehearsal you are involved in. There
is to be no chewing of gum during rehearsals.
Please report any safety hazards to
stage management immediately.
All rehearsals, except children’s, are open for quiet family and guests.

Be responsible for your props.
Always check your props and costumes before the show. NEVER move anyone else’s
props or costumes, even if you think they are out of place. Check with
the Stage Manager or Assistant, there may be a reason it is there.
Don’t use other people’s make-up
without asking first. Always return it when you are done.
Hang your costume up immediately
upon changing.
DO NOT bring valuables to rehearsals
and especially not to performances .
Do not stand in the wings!!!!
- Unless you have been called by the Stage Manager for an upcoming
entrance. If you can see the audience, they can see you!!
Also, be quiet backstage, and
especially in the wings! Cloth is not sound proof. If you are
talking backstage, chances are the audience will hear it.
Absolutely NO GUESTS are allowed
backstage or in the dressing rooms before, during, or after the show.
Arrange to meet your family and friends in the lobby after the show is over.
Absolutely
no saving of seats in the house.
BOTH: ALWAYS BE A LITTLE EARLY FOR REHEARSAL AND
PERFORMANCE
